StepStone ASA - Appointment of Financial Advisors in respect of Mandatory Offer 
by Axel Springer AS 
 
 
10 September 2009 - The Board of Directors of StepStone ASA ("StepStone") today 
announced the appointment of Morgan Stanley & Co. Limited and ABG Sundal Collier 
as joint financial advisors in connection with the unsolicited offer by Axel 
Springer AG, on 2 September 2009, to acquire the outstanding shares in StepStone 
(ticker symbols: Oslo Børs: STP, London Stock Exchange: STPS.L). 
 
 
The Board believes that the intended offer, currently indicated by Axel Springer 
to be for NOK 8.60 per share, does not reflect the full value of the business. 
The Board will consider and actively pursue all available options that can 
contribute to maximising shareholder value. 
 
 
The Board has not yet received a formal mandatory offer document from Axel 
Springer. Following receipt, the Board intends to make further statements with 
respect to the intended offer and recommends that shareholders take no further 
action with regard to existing shareholdings until such statements have been 
made.
