I see HRBN has dropped today; quite possibly production has been halted at their factory, following the chemical pollution of the river: looks a very serious situation in the city.

buyers have been in since 6p.. so sellers may be tempted at this price to take profit.

There's still mileage, guys. The company's next investment(s) will be well-placed to perform post-IPO.
There's always the possibility of another reverse takeover approach; and we now have a hedge fund on board.

Not as late as me, 11p. Albeit a tiny speculation, just for fun. :-)

ignore the 60p highs, this started to get interesting sub 12p and since them asset value has improved steadily.

I suppose assets are closing in on 20p, so i'm hoping we'll get up to 15p share price eventually.
bear in mind assets are mostly cash or listed companies, doesn't warrant much bigger discount. But the next real mover will be if/when they advise of the next couple of investments.
As Jonwig said previously, follow them into their next investments might be the best strategy. they have a good stock picking record so far.

HP,
Yes, the market's light is dawning, maybe.

Next will be the thundering herd along here: "does anyone know why this has been going up?"

The market seems to have realised the discount to NAV is a bit excessive now.

My NAV estimate is 17.5p which is hopefully prudent. Theres a bit of guesswork involved but NAV at end Sept was 15.3p. Since then Harbin has doubled. So if SOV still have their 250,000 shares the stake is now worth 5p. Ive just assumed Bodisen valuation is constant although thats probably prudent given the rise yesterday put it at an all time high. The trouble is guessing how many shares SOV have sold since the last NAV update. Maybe theyve sold none. But cash should be at least 10p assuming theyve made no new investments.

Yep - starting to look stupidly cheap and will get picked up by the tips sites soon - director buy at 6p gives confidence in the future. Some more nibbling going on the last 2 days and offer is now 7.25 rather than 6.5-6.7p. Once TEAM finish their seller or we get a tip or both we should jump through 10p easily. NAV at 19p makes the share price look stupid.

Bot another 25k at 7.25p - not long till we break IMO.

Thanks - will update tomorrow.
Both BOD and HRBN would have been spectacular stocks to have followed SOV into - instead we bought SOV ...

john,
When you've time could you show briefly how you work out the NAV? Your figure is broadly in line with my estimate.
Also do you know anything about the CGT situation? The company is based in Guernsey I think and the AIM admission document implies CGT isn't payable on profits from investments (and Ive just realised there is no stamp-duty payable on share purchases for this stock)

Another decent one just now: have you seen the updated NAV?
At the moment, there's no reason to revise the cash balance downwards.

Sorry for the ramping but Harbin just keeps going up. Up another 6% (US$0.38) so far today. I make that about 0.25p onto SOV's NAV.

PS. Dont expect me to be updating the Harbin share price when it drops.
