01/3/2001 14:59 | Have you noticed the recent massive house broker’s (Charles Stanley) upgrade of forecasts for the years ending 31/3/2001 and 2002? Old forecast (July 2000) 2001: pretax £0.55m eps 6.5p div 3.5p 2002: pretax £0.8m eps 9.5p div 4.5p New forecast (Jan 2001) 2001: pretax £0.92m eps 10.3p div 4p 2002: pretax £1.2m eps 13.8p div 4.5p Against the year 2000 outcome of £0.43, 5.1p, 3p the eps growth rate should be 100% Presumably the new franchises are doing well. The fundamentals continue to look excellent (P/E = 18, rolling P/E1= 9.5, rolling P/E2 =7) with no debt and a healthy dividend, I expect the share price to return shortly to the post interim levels of £1.25. All IMHO and DYOR, but best wishes and good luck. | chopsy
10/2/2001 08:28 | GOOD TIMING FOR A SIGNIFICANT RISE The uptrend is confirmed. A new higher low formed with support this time at 75p This little electronic components distributor (SSP) is doing very well. Increasing earnings per share every 6 months since 1998. Predicted earnings per share growth in the year to 3/01 is 102%. Historic PE 16.67, foreward rolling 1 year PE 8.85, rolling 2 is 6.38. PEG 0.16 with accelerating predicted earnings growth. Forecast Div +/- 5%. The company is small and the spread can be quite wide (5 to 10p). Price rises can be sharp or steady. We are now just off the bottom of the uptrend channel of the last 12 months, and I’m pleased to be back in for the third time. You can see my previous posts were well timed prior to significant rises. All IMHO and DYOR. | chopsy
19/1/2001 22:48 | I agree, this company has very strong fundamentals - only problem is not enough news and hence low traded volume figures. I think its worth a punt and then sit and wait for the madding crowd to arrive when the market speculators see what they have to offer. | alfie123 |
