Contract Award

Sky High plc, the data collection and analysis group, is pleased to announce its successful award from Transport for London (TfL) of a contract for Bus Origin Destination Surveys (BODS) Data Processing. A 4 year call off contract that will start in April 2012 and has been recently awarded to Sky High Plc's data capture division based in Halifax.

The Bus Origin & Destination Survey is used to support preparation of business cases associated with service development and to contribute to the general understanding of the way passengers use the network. BODS data is also used for wider applications across TfL where a wider dataset is processed, enabling improvements to the way bus data is used in constructing TfL's strategic transport models. The survey has been conducted since 1983.

The aim of the data processing procedure is to produce accurate electronic files of the survey data, to enable the output data to be imported into the London Bus Services Ltd (LBSL) database system. The contract is estimated to be worth approximately GBP140,000 per year which represents a significant increase in the turnover and development of the data capture business.
