TIDMRUGB RNS Number : 2311M Rugby Estates Investment Trust PLC 19 May 2010 19 May 2010 RUGBY ESTATES INVESTMENT TRUST PLC ("REIT" OR THE "GROUP") Interim Management Statement Since 31 December 2009, the Group's property portfolio has continued to perform satisfactorily. There have been no material changes to the property portfolio. On 14 May 2010, ING UK Real Estate Income Trust Limited ("ING UK RET") declared its offer for the Company (the "Offer") to be unconditional in all respects. The Directors of the Company resigned and were replaced by appointees of ING UK RET. ING UK RET has obtained acceptances in respect of approximately 97% of the Company's issued share capital, and has initiated compulsory acquisition procedures in respect of the remaining share capital. ING UK RET has announced its intention to de-list the Company, and de-listing is expected to occur on or about 15 June 2010. The results of the Group for the present financial year will be adversely affected by costs relating to the Offer and the termination of the Group's management agreements with Rugby Asset Management Limited.
