                           GENERAL MEETING STATEMENT

Resources Investment Trust plc (the "Company") announces that the special
resolutions put to shareholders at the General Meeting held today were duly
passed, thereby approving the proposal to wind up the Company voluntarily, the
appointment of Michael David Rollings and Vivienne Elizabeth Oliver of Baker
Tilly Restructuring and Recovery LLP as joint liquidators ("Liquidators") and
authorising the Liquidators to exercise such of the powers as may be necessary
to give effect to the winding-up of the Company.

Details of the proxy votes in respect of the resolutions passed at the
Extraordinary General Meeting are set out below:
