25/4/2006 21:46 | On the Trustnet site it says that REI is the top riser so far this year - even ahead of the mighty JRS. I think that this I.T. will really shine this year. As an aside line if there is anybody who is interested in other commodity I.Ts have a look at SVU & SVM - particular their top holdings. Good luck to fellow travlers - let's hope that the journey is a profitable one. | nephin
25/4/2006 20:24 | Yup. And MXP? | armistead34
24/4/2006 20:55 | Key holding EEN gone through the roof the last few days (long term prospects finally being recognised, as new management shake the 'Emerald the Dog' tag). Increasing production and potentially explosive Syrian prospects should continue to see EEN contribute nicely to the NAV of REI. | wirralowl
18/4/2006 17:21 | They issue a news statement every market day giving the un-audited NAV. The announcement on 13th April was £270.24 and today's is £283.32. A nice jump and almost the same as the share pric. I'm sure someone could import it onto this page, but it's beyond me. | hargri
18/4/2006 17:19 | REI publishes its NAV on a daily basis - see At close of play on 17 April the NAV was 283.32p | salmac
18/4/2006 14:47 | Would there be any way of making the current NAV of REI available on this page? As for example, JRS, MNE, MLW? Does REI make it available? | armistead34
18/4/2006 08:30 | Emerald Energy results out today - all very positive and prospects looking superb. | wirralowl

07/4/2006 17:36 | Great week, but still at a good discount to today's NAV of just under 275p. Like their sector, and their portfolio mix looks very good to me (I'm a big EEN fan!). The fact that it can also be held in an ISA is an added bonus. | wirralowl
07/4/2006 08:19 | Yup. Near vertical at the moment. Reflecting resources in general. | armistead34
06/4/2006 14:09 | this is shifting at a fair old rate for a IT. Something like 20% in a week | jhan66
04/4/2006 17:00 | So discount remains circa 18%. Will be interesting to see how far, how soon this climbs, and whether the discount starts to drop, or whether it simply continues to follow the ascent in the NAV. My guess is, we could go from 2 to 3 in fairly short order, as metals climb. But as ever, keeping one eye pinned to the exit. Exciting to be in, for the time being. | armistead34
04/4/2006 16:02 | NAV keeps creeping higher : Net Asset Value(s) RNS Number:9424A Resources Investment Trust PLC 04 April 2006 RESOURCES INVESTMENT TRUST PLC Net Asset Value per Ordinary Share Resources Investment Trust PLC announces that the un-audited net asset value of its Ordinary Shares as at the close of business on 03 April was 258.58p per share. | wirralowl
03/4/2006 18:33 | As of 30/3/06 NAV 2.45 Added a few more. | armistead34
30/3/2006 17:04 | Beginning to motor. Let's see if it settles at the 2.00 mark. Incidentally, re. question of why the discount, I think the absence of posts on this board is probably instructive. Compare to the number of AIM mining stocks being discussed on the leader board. Advantages of REI is that you get the leveraging of a competent management (at least I assume that they are!); the underlying shares at a discount; and you can put them in your ISA! | armistead34
29/3/2006 08:06 | Foster- I ask this myself. Presumably because of the nature of the underlying investments, which are highly volatile. EEN & MXP, the largest holdings, I believe. Small tick up yesterday, but I'm thinking of adding with this discount, and the broader oil story. | armistead34
28/3/2006 21:01 | In TrustNet's performance tables today, REI has the best performance of all investment trusts over six months, with 40.1% NAV growth. Why does the discount remain as high as 19%? | foster
16/3/2006 16:23 | At a discount: Bought in last week. | armistead34

15/1/2006 12:42 | For those who want a flutter elsewere, go no further than Empyrean Energy (EME) Here there is imminent news on two drilling project in Germany for Gas and in California for Oil and Gas. Only 15 million shares floating around, with major shareholders with the remaining 52%. The California operation is a couple of days into a 14 day drill. The Glantal prospect near Frankfurt could be giving news on results anytime. DYOR. | bishopawn

17/12/2005 18:21 | I believe REI have a stake of around 8m shares in Agricola (OFEX:AGRI)...going great guns at the moment. | papillon
09/12/2005 18:21 | My prediction of a 2-2.5p RISE IN NAV was wrong: 7 December was 179.08p 8 December was 180.15p 9 December was 181.76p 12 December was 181.71p 13 December was 180.91p 19 December was 181.44p That 7th to 8th move is a rise of just over 1p. But REI was up 1.5p Friday to 144p- that's a 20% discount to NAV | energyi
08/12/2005 23:33 | some big movers today: BZA.t : $0.58 +$0.11 +23.4% GTL.L : 1.80p +.325p +22.1% NAV should be up maybe Pds.500K (or perhaps 2.0 - 2.5p) | energyi |
