Posted at 30/5/2013 07:09 by michaelsadvfn Resaca can they turn it around (RSOX)....NO |
Posted at 14/9/2012 09:11 by euclid5 shame because RSOX has a very high npv value |
Posted at 13/2/2012 12:51 by mypension I see RSOX was at one time $40 and today anout 40pWhat is the chance of reaching $40 again???? Does anyone know the histoey of why such a massive drop. I know the merger did not happen but why did that reduce the asset value so much? |
Posted at 12/7/2010 19:45 by lunartik The report that the merger is probably still on hasn't moved RSOX, still 252c but Cano is up 7% to 52c.Hopefully we can move forward soon. And we need production figures! |
Posted at 06/7/2010 18:54 by lunartik RSOX were trading at 58.5c prior to the suspension. After for 5-1 stock consolidation were trading at (it appears) 269c.We should be 292c if we'd held value, so I guess we're down about 6% after the deal has foundered. Who knows whether it will be resurrected - maybe once the markets are a bit quieter. Thus far we seem to have got of lightly, Cano are 59c, so they've halved over the last few months. We are down around 25% over the same period, but then so are many oilers. I think Resaca were always the stronger partner, Cano had the reserves and more production, but also large amounts of debt. Maybe once the dust has settled, we could get them even cheaper. But overall I think the future looks bright for a US onshore oil producer. Lets hope they spend a bit of time now on getting production up. They've probably wasted large amounts of management time on a merger that hasn't happened. |

Posted at 25/3/2010 12:56 by lunartik There is an interesting trading history since we moved upto the new trading level at 44p-47p.On RSOX there have bee 507K sells since around 8th March without a single corresponding buy, so far as one can tell. On RSX there have been around 561K sells at 44p, with buys numbering about 72K at 46p-47p. The pattern seems to be continuing today, with chunky sells all neatly absorbed, so it would appear, with sells overall outnumbering buys by over 10/1. I'm surprised it hasn't been marked down, unless there is some accumulation going on by someone, somewhere. |
Posted at 08/3/2010 07:32 by targatarga Hi Lunartik - fingers just did a chart over on the £1 threadfor rsox. Fingers has a large following of devouted groupies! kind regards |
Posted at 07/3/2010 19:20 by lunartik Yes, tt - I hadn't been following Cano, but the 9% rise on Friday, combined with a large increase in volume looks good.Cano's low was around 81c at the beginning of the month, so its now 97c for a rise of about 20% - but it hadn't fallen as far as RSOX being about $1 for most of January and the latter part of last year. $1 seems to be a bit of a resistance point for Cano so next week could be interesting. RSOX is up from 34p to 43p in a week, a 30% rise, and so far no one seems to have noticed! At this rate my losses will be swiftly erased. Amazing what happens when someone decides to take the brakes off. This is dated 22nd February and is interesting "Cano Petroleum, Inc. (AMEX:CFW) has the 4th highest upside potential in this segment of the market. Its upside is 253.9%. Its consensus target price is $2.87 based on the average of all estimates." I seem to remember reading somewhere that analysts had a target price for RSOX of around 125p or so - that was before the proposed merger which should add additional value. RSOX also had the cheapest reserves of any listed company, about $1.23barrel (from memory), whereas most of its peers were valued many times higher. That was one of the main reasons for me buying in, that and the proposed substantial increase in production. The Cano merger should make it even more valuable, but thus far the market does not seem to agree. If we rise further this week, this may start to appear on someones Radar. |
Posted at 18/1/2010 12:14 by uncleoswald Cana may be producing twice the number of boepd tha ROSX, but they made a loss last year, whereas RSOX made a profit of 4.25p per share and £1.65m."Cano recently announced the results for its fiscal year ended 30 June 2009. In that period Cano reported operating revenues of US$ 25.4 million, a loss from continuing operations before income taxes of US$ 16.4 million and net income attributable to common stock of $7.9 million. As at 30 June 2009, Cano reported stockholders' equity of US$ 148.5 million." Does anyone have an insight into why they made a loss, have they made profits in previous years, and will this reduce the profits of ROSX in the coming year?? |
