29/1/2007 07:58 | DAFED - You going to the match? Williams and Jones boost Wales 28 January 2007, 8:52 pm Wales head coach Gareth Jenkins today (Sunday) announced he is to delay his team selection for the opening clash of the RBS Six Nations 2007 against Ireland - after receiving positive news about the fitness of Shane Williams and Mark Jones... Ospreys wing wizard Williams (hip) and Scarlets speedster Jones (ankle) were both thought to be ruled out of the capacity Millennium Stadium fixture next Sunday (Kick-off 3.00pm), but a week's rehabilitation has improved their respective chances. Jenkins is now set to name his debut Six Nations Championship team selection on Thursday 1st February. "We've had a very positive feedback session with Mark Davies (the Wales team physiotherapist) and a couple of players have responded well to treatment and might now be available," said Jenkins. "We think that maybe Mark Jones and Shane Williams could be potentially available for the weekend, so we want to give them as long as possible to be fit for the game. "We know we have a responsibility to name the team as soon as possible and we were going to do it on Monday, but we now feel that Thursday is the appropriate time." | onlyonestorm

19/1/2006 15:35 | Blimey, yet another example of how there's so often an inverse relationship between the quality of a share and the number of posts on its thread ;-) Still, glad to have just increased the latter by 50%; hope this doesn't mean the quality of RUG decreases correspondingly! | samg99
