giant steps: A reduced risk approach to riding an Oxus windfall ? 24th April 2014 RSS Share Capital 64,137,761 Ordinary Shares, no Ordinary Shares held in Treasury. so RSS @ 10p gives market valuation £6.41m Other Links
qalbabbass: The share buy-back will certainly push the price up over the coming weeks. They will be buying a considerable chunk, 15%, so there wont be many shares available in the market. If we get some increment in the NAV then we should see this rocket. I hope it has a positive effect on the RAB share price also.
rupe1958: Still seems to be good value. NAV 37.4p on 20/4. Share price 26.5p. But I can't find a list of holdings. AN alternative is to buy into RAB itself. Both seem to be good plays on the sharp recovery going on in junior resource stocks.
exmooroil: barnetpeter, sorry you had to wait a whole week for the next trick.... Special Situations Fund NAV/share for close of business on 19.4.07 (US$ class) was $3528.57, up 2.13% on the previous week. That increase should produce the following figures for RSS plc: Undiluted NAV ~175.3p/share, fully diluted NAV ~163.95p/share. At the current RSS share price of 137.5p/138.75p (mid 138.125p), that represents a discount of 15.7% to fully diluted NAV. RSS "B" warrants are currently priced at 7.5p/9.0p. With the last day for exercise of the warrants being 23.5.07, it should be an interesting, possibly volatile, run-up to the finishing post. All IMO.
exmooroil: Updated figures as at 4.4.07 close, per RNS: Undiluted NAV 167.84p Fully dil NAV 158.38p RSS share price (11.4.07 close) 137.5/139.5 = 138.5p (mid) Discount to fully diluted NAV: 12.55% RSS "B" warrants price (11.4.07 close) 8p bid, 9.75p offer
exmooroil: Updated figures as at 22.2.07 close, per RNS: Undiluted NAV 163.65p Fully dil NAV 155.24p RSS share price (26.2.07 close) 137.00p (mid), Discount to fully diluted NAV: 11.74%.
exmooroil: Thanks barnetpeter, Here are the full figures as at 15.2.07, per RNS: Undiluted NAV 162.10p, Fully dil NAV 154.08p, RSS share price (11am today) 136.25p (mid), Discount to fully diluted NAV: 11.57%. This time last year the discount to fully diluted NAV was around 5% - that's not to infer that the discount will narrow this year.
exmooroil: RSS NAV update released this morning, as at 31.1.07: Undiluted 159.54p, Fully dil 152.15p, RSS share price: 132.5p (mid), Discount to fully diluted NAV: 12.9%.
exmooroil: energyi, Would it be possible to resurrect the table in the header to this thread - possibly a simplified version with 5 columns: Date, RSS NAV undiluted, RSS NAV diluted, RSS share price, %Discount to diluted NAV Interest seems to be growing in both RSS and RSSB, so, if the facts are updated weekly, it will serve to enlighten bulls, bears, and those somewhere in between. Regards.
exmooroil: rambutan2, That's pretty close: (40x1.3823 + 20x1.15 +20x1.30)/80 = 130.36p. IMO,RSSA price is more likely to remain at 115p below the RSS share price rather than the RSS fully diluted NAV, as there is an inherent delay in publishing the latter. The effect could therefore work in both directions. RSS is trading today at about 2p below the last published fully diluted NAV (assuming the method for calculating dilution is accurate). Do you agree with the foregoing? Regards.
