Posted at 12/1/2007 17:34 by renixus1 Arthur, do you think management might be under the heavy influence of the "shrewd" investors regarding the release of information, who will be much happier to increase their holdings at the lowest price possible before "they" exit? They'd hardly want the share price to spike before they've finished accumulating stock, would they?I think we'll see a spike a some point, but like you I've no idea when - probably when we least expect. Best to let this one lie, and wait to see what happens. It's not a trader's stock, more of well to do private investors type of stock who can afford to wait this out and can take the consequences if it doesn't pan out quite the way they hope it will. But why do you think they're wealthy in the first place? |
Posted at 24/11/2006 13:43 by brendog Thanks hybrazil - I would of thought that the volume of housing would of made the site worth more than the 6 million pounds the company is valued at. Clearly investors property developers and market makers dont agree. Maybe I should just close my eyes on PIV shares for a couple of years and hope for the best.Still a bit surprised there has been no reaction from PIV itself. |
Posted at 03/11/2006 08:30 by hybrasil ArthurThe reality is that there is no size to be bought at these levels. The tick up may mean a few sales in today but I doubt it. As I said before the share register in PIV contains more private investors than any I have seen. ---EDIT--- 14.18 Despite the tick up no trades at all |
Posted at 05/9/2006 10:34 by hybrasil brendogYou would merely form part of the barclay nominee account but the unusual thing about this register as opposed to others is the massive amount of private investors. It will be great fun when it comes to a bid situation which I believe will happen. Now if I knew when it would happen!!!! As to your question as to avonmore he is simply undescribable. |
Posted at 16/7/2006 13:58 by arthur_lame_stocks SmallchangeThe reason why you´re getting short thrift over here is because some of us have dificulty in believing that between Tony Palmer, who I understand was once top dog at Taylor Woodrow and major shareholder David Cicurel who I think also has extensive property experience and is friends with other very, very, very wealthy and experienced property investors, the company has managed to negotiate some sort of lease that means our land (and in DC´s case his investment) is now worthless. Also, in the past some of your information hasn´t been very accurate and you don´t seem to be particularly specific. |
Posted at 20/5/2006 08:23 by steelwatch Thank you for that Andy. As I said in my previous post, that website is shown on the ADVFN "Financials" page. Does this imply that Poole Investments is the Holding Company for Pilkingtons? If so, where does one obtain investor information? All I can find on the Pilkingtons website is reference to a Poole warehouse or factory. Is that it? |

Posted at 01/9/2005 17:45 by arthur_lame_stocks What sort of value do people expect? I still think 6p is quite cheap, with 8p possible. I don't think you're getting into fantasy territory until you get up to 10p or so.I like the risk reward of these kind of situations. 100% over 3 years is an excellent compound return, but I guess most investors want a bit of excitement with their equity. |
Posted at 25/2/2005 12:13 by arthur_lame_stocks The current lease is up to 2009 maximum. The bridge is due to open in 2008/9 assuming all goes to plan from here. Poole Council's website says "Construction of Poole's iconic Twin Sails Bridge is expected to take up to two years. The associated regeneration project sites will be phased before, during and after bridge construction." I presume they will want the regeneration completed reasonably soon afterwoods not well into the next decade, but I may be wrong. I think that the public enquiry due to take place this summer may prove critical for the whole thing and for PIV investors. Once we know whether the bridge is going to be built then there may well be some more interest in PIV. Arthur |
Posted at 25/2/2005 11:17 by arthur_lame_stocks smallchangeWhat more is there to this that I am missing please? I'm pretty sure that Poole council are keen for the redevolpment to go ahead and I don't think they have 2015 in mind. I don't think any investors in PIV do either. Arthur |
