Posted at 02/12/2007 11:06 by saturn5 A bit about TESCO/US in Financial mail on Sunday.Stock levels have been a problem Teething problems with first 13 stores but 270 stores planned for California and Arizona Shoppers were fairly satisfied or very satisfied with the stores but only 74% were satisfied with stock availability. I am looking to catch POLL on the rise? What do you think? British Bulls are saying BUY IF Today a White Marubozu was formed. This shows that the buyers controlled the price action from the first trade to the last trade. |
Posted at 13/11/2007 17:02 by cerrito HarrogateI saw that article too and indeed does expose POLL to alot of risk if Tesco's venture in the US fails or even stalls. Genuinely preplexed...big picture seems an excellent story but even now maracp of E77m/£50m is quite high cash flow does not look very good in the s/term as they wrap up their capex programme and while they have borrowing capacity decision to pay a dividend a bit heroic. At this stage will not be adding. |
Posted at 04/11/2007 16:57 by stegrego (0.271p) per ordinary share was the divi so that about 1p for every 4 shares - ie a quid for every 400 shares - 1000 shares ~ £2.50 Thats why the payment isnt much - id imagine the first one was a mistake by your broker |

Posted at 30/10/2007 19:19 by reviva Has anyone noticed that their whopping dividend of the last few weeks has been taken back and a new pittance of a dividend was sent as a replacement. Thought it was too good to be true. |
Posted at 29/10/2007 11:53 by cyberbub encouraging pressure form the government, but still the share price drops!always remembering of course that POLL operates across many countries, and other countries may not necessarily be putting so much pressure on supermarkets to reduce packaging. though given how poor the UK govt is on these matters, most other countries are probably ahead of us! |
Posted at 25/10/2007 18:17 by cerrito Today's news that the govt is not going to tax waste produced by households will it seems to me move the spotlight on reducing the amount of waste that the major retailers/supermarke |
Posted at 13/10/2007 19:40 by fuzzle It was announced in the results RNS statement:"Maiden interim dividend In the Admission Document dated 7 December 2006 it was the Directors' stated intention to pay a nominal dividend in the financial year ending 31 December 2007. Management is confident about the medium term opportunities for the Company and the cash generative qualities of the business. Accordingly, the Board is pleased to declare a maiden interim dividend of Euro0.40 cents (0.271p) per ordinary share which will be paid on 5 October 2007 to those shareholders on the register at the close of business on 14 September 2007. It is the Board's intention, in the absence of unforeseen circumstances and subject to the Articles of Association, that the interim dividend will represent approximately one third of the full year dividend payment to shareholders." Oddly enough - I havent received the divi yet :( |
