|2magpies: Interesting rise.
IPO news on the way?
If SR do float at £225m , then PMS share will be worth 2.5 times today's market cap.|
|stevie blunder: Scottish Resources get a mention in today's Times, no link since it is behind a paywall.
The gist is that they are going to try again, but they may be looking at a float price in the region of 180-200, down from 200-250. The main points raised by the institutions were the uncertain value of the brownfield sites and they didn't like that Parkburn and Palmaris were selling out completely.
Not the best time to be floating I suppose, after Ocado, but if it goes ahead, there should still be some upside from current levels in PMS price|
|boxwellian: "The diluted earnings per share is calculated after allowing for the
35,540,000 Warrants issued on the 8th May 2001 and not converted at 31st
December 2005. Each Warrant entitles its holder to subscribe for one New
Ordinary Share at a price of 5p per share up to 30th April 2011."
If warrant holders subscribed today Co would have £1.775m more cash so Capn might rise from todays £17.55m to £19.32m,but shares in issue would increase from 130m to 165.5m. So share price might be expected to drop by 13.5% from 13.5p to 11.67p
If warrant holders subscribe when share price is 27p Co would have £1.775m more cash so Capn might rise from £35.10m to £36.875m,but shares in issue would increase from 130m to 165.5m. So share price might be expected to drop by 18.5% from 27p to 22p.
In other words the warrants can be expected to put a steadily increasing brake on growth in the share price|
|bcf203: Perseverance share price now at A$0.49 highest ever due to Gold price. PMS holding worth close to 10p leaving very little value needed in Mining Scotland to reach current 13p valuation. Speculative buy IMHO.|
|shearluc: AGM announced for 20/10/05. Annual report issued on 15/09 - ^$ pages have'nt read it fully yet - looks promising - "mine productivity exceeded expectations" operating costs tracking below budget".
Perseverance share price up sharply - may well see some upward movement in PMS.|
|bcf200: Shares in Perseverance now valued at 38 Aus cents which is double price shown in last years accounts ( to 30.6.03.). This gives a value of about £10 Mill on this asset. With all other assets as well share price now seems to be up to date with valuations. Does anyone know when accounts due out - must be soon ?|
|azalea: Well it has to be something like that and there are of course some very big stake holders, but no announcement from the company despite the 20%+ rise. This might be a good sign in that they are holding off in order to know exactly what the offer is. Ordinarily, the company is duty bound to declare any material information that affects its share price.
What also surprises me that investors are selling despite the share price rising against the tide of a sell/buy ratio of 5.5:1. Still, each to his/here own, for my part I'm holding on.|
|azalea: The share price has jumped 12.96% this morning on trades (if the data is to be believed) where sells far outweighed buy on a volume of around 24k. The results are not scheduled until early November, so this movement is quite puzzling. That said it could well be the case that the MM know something that is in the pipeline!!|
|azalea: All (5/6) the indicated trades today were 'sells', yet oddly the price ticked up 0.5p and the spread has widened 11.5 -13.5p, how odd. That said, albeit holding a much reduced percentage in Perseverence, with the P.O.G. up some $60 in the last 12 months ,the value of the stake must now be understated in PMS's NAV.
With Oxus Mining share price jumping 15% within days simply on the news that it has started production, I expect no less when similar news is announced by Perseverence, which will translate into a rise in PMS's share price. I think the latter is now significantly overlooked, but the MM might just be cottoning on to that fact by widening the spread in anticipation of buyers moving in, whilst deterring sellers. That said, one must not forget the stake taken by Laxey Partners, especially if they buy more. DYOR.|
|karzy: Perseverance are issuing AUS$75 million of equity at 28c, Palmaris are not taking part in this fund raising, might see pms share price drift back to 10.5p on this dilution.|
