There are various sites on which u can get NASDAQ prices on the web. I assume US investors will open a thread. See the current market price for OMH just about corresponds with the estimated starting price in the US with the $ getting better in our favour

Safe to say, the Yanks know more than UK investors re potential, or "some" might argue more gullible!

Bottomline, OMH product tried and tested, and winning awards. We are in the midst of fully commercialising product and increasing tests - exciting times ahead once funding sorted to drive growth.

Per test, per machine say $50,000. 3 tests = $150,000. Multiply that by number of machines already in place and to be placed. And then add further tests. Think you can do the maths.

Still holding.

Honesty
Then everyone is off their trolley? US Corporate deal makers, investors,
Osmetech board and advisors going to market this share for peanuts. It is all a mirage eh? There are no assets worth more than 1.5 p.? Well I am happy to take this risk.

See my post 30959

" Usually when they they do things like this they would like a positive announcement or two shortly before or shortly after the float to get it up and running and bring it to the attention of potential new investors who are not as jaded or cynical as some on here are."

Announcements such as this would not be treated with such apathy in the states

Another RNS would be nice in the next month or two and if so watch the different reaction to a positive piece of news on the Nasdaq.

Whilest -

Did he, I've had Marvin on Filter for a while now so have been blissfully unaware that I was a moron but if he did say that then fair enough, I must bow to his insider knowledge.

At least you and I and a few others know its a gamble at this stage and are prepared to take a calcualted risk. If it does go belly up we will have nobody to blame but ourselves and I for one will not waste the next 10 years of my life bleating about this and that and laughing at others who have lost money after they have "seen the light".

Who in all honesty can ever say they always time their trades perfectly. You have to make a judgement call, and if it falls, accept no one made you buy the shares, take it on the chin and decide whether to bale out, stick or twist.

I know with Jon Faiz Kayem and Chris Gleeson heavily invested at much higher prices with their own money, not cut price options, along with a few pension companies and institutions both here and in the States I feel a little less concerned with the short term fluctuations in the share price and more confident in the long term viability of the company.
The previous Nasdaq float was pulled through no fault of their own and as I have said before they would have thought long and hard before they had another shot at it. Usually when they they do things like this they would like a positive announcement or two shortly before or shortly after the float to get it up and running and bring it to the attention of potential new investors who are not as jaded or cynical as some on here are.

The huge volume in early January also suggests to me that many other people with big pockets and people to answer to have decided it is now an interesting entry point.

Sorry, what am I thinking, I should just say zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and be put back in my place.

The end of the OMH road for me today?

Having read the Proposed Scheme over the weekend I choose to hit
the sell button today?

In my short post the other week – the day before the announcement,
I said that OMH did not want the UK investors and would be looking
for ways to rid themselves of us. This I think is confirmed where they
say that they will not be issuing share certs. on conversion to GenMark.

Nominee a/cs' only.

As a cert. holder in all my investments that was the final piece of straw
in this bag of manure they call Osmetech.

Good luck to all who choose to sail on. Its been good fun reading the
posts over many years.

Regards to all.

This is all very interesting. Presumably the investors in December (including new US investors) were briefed on the likely IPO price, which must be at least $7 (2.05p x 230 x 1.50) or they would not have put up the new money. This values the existing share capital at about $50 million, to which must be added the $40 million of new money to be raised in the IPO, to make an initial capitalisation of $90 million.

I would expect the indicative IPO price to be announced well before the AIM listing is cancelled in May, in order to allow the brokers to pre-market the new shares.

On the other hand it may all crater as it did last time!
