10/10/2012 13:12 | OCZ Technology Appoints Ralph Schmitt as President and CEO | mark knopfler
10/10/2012 13:11 | Good shout Lego. | mark knopfler
10/10/2012 09:40 | Board member Ralph Schmidt resigned from PLX yesterday to "pursure a leadership role at another company". Got to be a good chance he gets appointed CEO of OCZ tonight. Unusual CV... | legolass
09/10/2012 11:43 | The moment of truth nears... Have a feeling that although the results won't be great, that they won't be that terrible either, and that price has been pushed down on fear of bankruptcy, fraud or whatever, which I think are unlikely. We usually have a rally into results then a sell off- it would be nice if it were the other way round this time. Looking forward to hear what Mei has to say in the cc. Good luck all | ch131

02/10/2012 15:50 | Orient Did you buy some more? LOL | whine
01/10/2012 19:22 | This is going below $3 This si such daylight robbery but you are to be blamed for not selling and just staring Hope some of you have learnt their lesson i think NOT Most of you will keep staring until it goes back on the AIM market Such is the mentality of small investors | whine
27/9/2012 15:24 | ch131 27 Sep'12 - 09:43 - 990 of 990 So we have Theo to thank for the second reason it fell through. The question is are STX still interested? The need for a suitor has never been more urgent- could it be possible that the share price has been manipulated to this level by the large investors (who want a deal ASAP) on say a multiple of 3 to 1? Another deluded poster when will you guys F cuking learn? Never i think | whine

27/9/2012 07:44 | Theo's latest tweet in case you haven't seen it. My gut feel is he does have some idea of what is going on....the info is too detailed "As far as my sources have confirmed, Mr. Petersen wanted a seat on $STX board and that caused the collapse of the deal." "Secondly, the price deal was locked onto a multiplier, instead of set value, and the rise of stock value pressured the deal." "The value went too high north of what was targeted... pretty similar to Sony's failed acquisition of $AAPL in 1990s." | legolass
26/9/2012 16:36 | Mark, I can confirm that it definitely was the stratgey to build share at expense of profit but they burned too much cash along the way. As I have said before I think its $2 or $8....if there is a liquidity issue it can go down fast. There is clearly some debate if they can call on the debt facility? | legolass
26/9/2012 16:30 | I hope you're right , Lego. I couldn't afford to give back my profits on this, so cut just over half earlier. Still see the potential for a buyout, but the price action is worrying- this kind of a move suggests someone knows something- I hope I'm wrong- if we close the day above $3.50 it would suggest a massive shakeout of longs | ch131
26/9/2012 16:27 | ch I think he tried to build market share at the expense of profit, as that article from seeking alpha I posted says. The problem is, he did it for so long they only ever made one tiny quarterly profit. Lego You're probably right, but its not always the case.(re exit agreement) | mark knopfler
26/9/2012 16:24 | ch131 I had reason to trust RP from his actions that I observed on AIM. But owning a largish position I have been "too close" to this stock and if any other company/CEO had come up with the excuses they had and the continual losses / cash-out I would have had a far more negative view. | legolass
26/9/2012 16:21 | RP will be bound by an exit agreement. Board in a very difficult position. In my view likely that the revenue is in the range pre-announced but losses and cash is bad. But EPS and Cash have not been guided to so no necessity for the Board to say anything i.e. they have given themselves 2 weeks to confirm the numbers and have a plan. In between uncertainty which kills stocks especially where there is a potential liquidity risk. Glass - half-full - they delayed the results by a week to complete a takeover?? | legolass
26/9/2012 16:20 | Yes, could be Ryan, or the investment companies that have been given the nod, or it could ba one massive short raid, but I've had enough of the endless games with OCZ- I was thinking that there were so many things Ryan said that could have just been lies- starting with the Vertex 3 controller being 100% OCZ. If you start to question all he has said, then there's little point holding on out of hope. Perhaps he built his empire out of sand. | ch131
26/9/2012 16:07 | Well Ryan can, now he's not the boss. The rest cant. Its illegal and not worth the risk for them. | mark knopfler |
