book is available through Harriman House. On their website it says 'published 14th November 2013' but I bought it last week. References in the book go up to June 2013 so it was written very recently.

Specuvestor: My copy of that book is on its way. Looking forward to reading the Norcon chapter. I actually bought back in here after discovering that he had been adding for his fund recently. He mentions them in his latest fund factsheet. :-)

You guys might be interested in a write up about Norcon in a recently published book entitled 'Deep Value Investing' by Jeroen Bos. Part IV of the book is about 'Deep value shares of tomorrow'. One of these shares is Norcom which the author spends a whole chapter analyzing (which he himself bought at an average of 23.5p). I must confess that I bought some of these on the basis of his analysis. The book consists of a number of case studies of deep value shares, most of which were successful investments. There is also a section entitled 'deep value failures' of which Abbeycrest (97% Loss!!)is one.

In short,the author feels that Norcoms's balance sheet is in good shape,it has a long track record,its contracts tend to be long term and the market in which it operates is growing. Add to this recent positive developments,cost cutting, and Director buying and I was persuaded to make a modest investment to see what happens over the next 18 months. As always,DYOR.

Picked up 50k this am- had to pay 20p for the last 30k !!

But I love the chart; prospects and bullish comments.

Directors BUYS add confidence.

I'll be adding too on the pullbacks.

After missing the 15.05p last week, decided to bite the bullet and paid 17.7p earlier. Still a 42.9% discount to net cash asset value (31p). Situation looking far rosier here. :-)

actual sell now moved upto 17.9p and full ask to buy but very limited without neg trade. Aother decent buy order in the background ?

could be up to 25p/30p level over a month or two on new contracts and more profitable existing work....

Hopefully business is picking up apace with the dir's buying indicating that co is now seeing improved economic conditions. These were well over 70p a few years ago.

These are very encouraging results. The turnaround is being pulled off with greater speed and less cost than I'd hoped for.


Still very under valued.

Also first time the price has closed strongly up above 200 EMA since Jan 2010 so lets see what the next week weeks bring.
