Preliminary Results for the year to 31 July 2003

Sharp improvement in profitability



Highlights

* Underlying profit before tax up from #0.94m to #1.64m

* Balance sheet remains strong with net cash at #3.5m

* Robust operating performance achieved against difficult markets

* Acquisition of the business of Applied Communications in the USA

* Modest market growth returning to principal markets, particularly the USA

* Total dividend increased 11% to 1.0p via a final dividend of 0.7p per share



Commenting, Tim Dyson, Chief Executive Officer, said:

"We have made a satisfactory start to the new financial year and we are
beginning to see signs of growth in our core markets. I therefore look forward
to this year with some optimism."

Had not realised it was closed period in which case expectations must be good with the rise today - perhaps others have been quietly nibbling away too. I have followed this one for a long time and am surprised they have not moved up much in the past - perhaps playing catch up.....

Took a small nibble this morning which killed the rise off completely :(

Any ideas on the rise.

Some good announcements in the past - this is a quality public relations firm dealing in the hi-tech market - looking at past announcements they should now be coming out with even more goods news - one to watch IMHO.
