NTL has raised GBP1 million before expenses through a placing of new ordinary shares at 8p per share. At the placing price, New Trend Lifestyle has a market capitalisation of GBP8 million on admission. About New Trend Lifestyle The Company was founded in 2005 by Grand Master Hilary Phang and is now one of the leading branded Feng Shui consultancies in Asia. NTL is based in Singapore where it has its head office, seven retail outlets as well as six distributors established in China where the Company has entered into a brand licence agreement with a local company in Guangzhou and six outlets are operated under the brand licence. NTL's Feng Shui services include building and office design consultancy, astrology readings, marriage matching, aura readings and business talks and seminars for large corporations. These have recently been complemented by Tarot Cards readings and an on-line dating service using Feng Shui principles. Their clients include a mixture of high profile businessmen, political figures, business enterprises and the general public. It provides lifestyle guidance to customers which leads to the provision of a number of products and services. There is a high level of repeat business and in 2011 over 70 per cent. of turnover was accounted for by returning customers. Feng Shui is endemic in Chinese communities throughout the world and influences many aspects of personal, business and even Government activities and is the basis on which the Company has created a profitable business with a strong brand and deep-seated cultural drivers. Use of proceeds The proceeds will provide the Company with the opportunity to bolster growth in Singapore, accelerate expansion into the Chinese markets while promoting the Company's new range of products and services. Listing on AIM allows the Company to promote themselves in the international arena as well as to operate in a regulated environment. The additional funds will also provide the Company with the resources to incentivise and retain key staff. Current Trading New Trend Lifestyle has grown strongly and in 2011 made a profit of GBP1.4m on revenue of GBP6.1m.
