16/10/2009 07:18 | Hectorp I have traded warrants for over 20 years only in Investment Trust warrants. I am old codger & I just try to protect my myself. Reading the latest profesional warrants newsletter . Take one of the undervalued warrants at the end of September. A similar type stock brns was on a capital fulcrum point of 8.79 premium of 42.04% gearing of 6.1 times -------------------- This stock at 14.10.09 capital fulcrum point of 15.2 premium of 66.4% gearing of 7.9 times if you look the same figures with the NAV capital fulcrum point of 7.84 premium of 31.7% gearing of 10 times -------------------- I find the warrant is to expensive a pullback to 3 to 4 p would be less risky. Like Jonny says the ordinary are good value on a fair value discount of 21% or maybe higher. premium of 31.7% gearing of 10 times ------------------ For help with this-you may be an expert so please forgive me. --------------- -------------------- | washbrook
15/10/2009 23:53 | I've placed them on close watch J-B thanks for the info. Good to have 3-4 years of life, should get something back on them in 1 to 2 years even. H. | hectorp
15/10/2009 14:34 | hi energiser, i am familiar with that fund but its a little too speciliast for my tastes in ITs. As you say the big appeal with the warrants here is the huge time value which makes day to day moves largely irrelvant. I am looking (as discussed over on the main thread) for 45p for this over the next 3-4 years. | jonnyboy1
15/10/2009 13:17 | New City's geiger subs (GCL and GCLS) looks similiar situation with share price well behind the NAV (although catching up now) although the subs don't have anything like th time value these have. Main diff is its closer to the 75p trigger so could be interesting as renewed interest in Uranium companies and exploration, coupled with stabilising U price and potetially big demand over next few years. Worth a look DYOR etc.... | energiser01
