                    TRANSACTION IN OWN SECURITIES

On 24 September 2008, the Company purchased into treasury 65,137 GBP
shares at a range of prices from price of GBP 9.17 to GBP 9.20  (the
"Transaction")

On 24 September 2008, the Company purchased into treasury 470,000 EUR
shares at a price of EUR 8.9 (the "Transaction")

On 24 September 2008, the Company purchased into treasury 134,000 US$
shares at a range of prices from US$ 9.3 to US$ 9.5   (the
"Transaction")

The Board of the Company has resolved with immediate effect to cancel
65,137 of its GBP issued shares, thereby reducing the number of
outstanding issued GBP shares of the Company to 24,910,722. (the
"Transaction")

The Board of the Company has resolved with immediate effect to cancel
470,000 of its EUR issued shares, thereby reducing the number of
outstanding issued EUR shares of the Company to 53,649,671. (the
"Transaction")

The Board of the Company has resolved with immediate effect to cancel
134,000 of its US$ issued shares, thereby reducing the number of
outstanding issued US$ shares of the Company to 38,993,955. (the
"Transaction")

Following the Transaction, there are now in issue (to the exclusion
of those held in treasury) 48,586,776 EUR Shares, 37,044,560 US$
Shares and 22,505,182 GBP Shares.  The total number of shares held in
treasury are 5,062,895 EUR Shares, 1,949,395 US$ Shares and 2,405,540
GBP Shares.
