ASX ANNOUNCEMENT

 

                          ISSUE OF SHARES AND OPTIONS                           
                          ___________________________
 

 
The Company has today issued 2,399,001 fully paid ordinary shares. The issue
raised #30,219 ($75,266) in cash and reduced Company Debts by amounts of
$400,780 and #32,640 ($81,295).

The Company has today issued 439,052 options to UK Directors as approved by
shareholders at the November 8 Annual General Meeting. 219,526 of the options
have vested. The vested options were immediately exercised by Directors.
 
An appendix 3B for the issue of shares not covered by the appendix 3B dated 8
November 2006 is attached. Appendices 3Y for each of the Directors of Monto
Minerals Ltd are also attached representing the changes to their interests.
 

The Company seeks to rely on case 1 in Section 708A(5) of the Corporations Act
("Act") in respect of the issue of those placement shares.

The Company gives notice under paragraph (5) (e) of Section 708A of the Act to
confirm that:

1.      The Company issued the above shares without disclosure to the placees 
        under Part 6D.2 of the Act.

2.      As at the date of this notice the Company has complied with:
        (a)       The provisions of Chapter 2M of the Act (as applicable to the 
                  Company); and
        (b)       Section 674 of the Act.

3.      At the date of this notice there is no excluded information
(as defined in paragraph (7) of Section 7098A of the Act) which is required to
be disclosed by the Company.
