              Completion of acquisition of Acorus Therapeutics Ltd


The Board of Maelor plc (AIM: MLR), the specialist critical care company, is
pleased to announce that it has formally completed the acquisition of Acorus
Therapeutics Limited and the placing of 80,000,000 new ordinary shares, raising
#8 million.
