M&G High Income Investment Trust P.L.C. (M&G HIT) announces that it has recently
been informed that immediately following a sale of 250,000 M&G HIT Income shares
on 2 February 2004, Exeter Asset Management Limited was interested in 9,550,000
M&G HIT Income shares representing 17.77% of the issued capital of HIT Income
shares.
