03/5/2013 15:35 | I hope so Aleman. I've made a decent addition to my holding of MGHU today (a 150% increase hardly counts as a top-up). Not yet showing on today's trades. I see the capital element as a four-year call option on the FTSE. | lord gnome
29/4/2013 16:15 | Thank you. The successor to the now defunct splitsonline. The good ole days from 2003! | langland
29/4/2013 16:11 | >>>langland According to the Morningstar search facility there are still 28 left, see link below: The 28 includes all the different share types, so the number of quoted companies which have a split cap structure is a more like 10. I'm not sure if the Morningstar list is complete though, as at least one (Jupiter dividend and growth) appears to be missing. | timbo003
29/4/2013 14:48 | What other splits are still in existence? I know of 2 Jupiter ones.......any others? | langland
18/4/2013 15:56 | THanks, Skinny. Can't believe I missed that after I picked up the dividend announcement. It just slipped my mind to look for the results. I'm still surprised I haven't noticed it when checking daily NAVs since. | aleman
18/4/2013 15:39 | This is from last week :- M&G High Income Investment Trust P.L.C. Third Interim Results | skinny
18/4/2013 15:32 | Anybody know when Q3 numbers are due? I was expecting them today bit I suspect my source was just regurgitating last year's date. | aleman
15/4/2013 09:08 | timbo003 - thanks for that information. Most helpful. | lord gnome
12/4/2013 17:18 | I did a write up for this share (MHHC to be specific) for the NFSC share competition over on the Motley Fool if anyone is interested: Some of you may find llink given in the first post on that thread to the fund fact sheet useful (given earlier comments on this thread), the fact sheet is updated daily (probably via an automated computer program, so it may not be entirely accurate). For daily NAVs, you are probably best off checking the daily RNS feeds which you can find here: I have been updating the Motley Fool thread at the end of each month and I will continue to do so until the end of the year. MGHC currently occupies the top slot in the competition which is not that surprising considering the Stella rise so far this year. I bought a few cap shares (MGHC) and a few of the income units (MGHU) at the end of December, so I'm more than pleased with the recent progress. | timbo003
12/4/2013 16:33 | It's nice to see higher volume in the capital shares. It might help draw attention to the large discount on the income shares. | aleman
12/4/2013 16:31 | Aleman :-) confusing my C's with my U's. | skinny
12/4/2013 16:26 | Sounds like you overpaid to me! ;-) I take it you bought MGHU rather than MGHC. I did nearly buy some MGHC a while ago when the NAV had crept up but price hadn't budged. Although the spread was 1.8/2.8, I believe I could have actually got them for 2.3 at that time. That would have been a quick gain of over 50%. I'm not really interested now. | aleman
12/4/2013 16:20 | I bought some @48.90 a couple of weeks ago. | skinny
12/4/2013 16:06 | Capital shares have been flying lately. I suggested they were cheap at 1.8/2.8 but they are up 25% today to 3.6/4.8, which I think is probably about right. Anybody been buying any? | aleman
10/4/2013 15:51 | Thanks Aleman. | skinny
10/4/2013 15:46 | Dividend Announcement M&G High Income Investment Trust P.L.C. announces that at a meeting of the Board of Directors held today, it was resolved to declare a third interim dividend of 1.30p, an increase of 4% (2012: 1.25p) per Income Share, in respect of the nine months period ended 28 February 2013. The dividend will be paid on 24 May 2013 to Income Shareholders on the register at the close of business on 19 April 2013. The ex-dividend date will be 17 April 2013. The dividend will also be payable to holders of Income & Growth Units and Package Units. | aleman
28/3/2013 15:54 | 3p between offer on "I"s and "U"s now. THat seems more reasonable than the 0.8p of a few days ago. I'd tend to go for the "I"s again but it still depends on one's tax situation. | aleman
27/3/2013 10:45 | Thanks Aleman. I am a holder of MGHI and MGHU. I suspect the lack of information regarding these investment trusts is causing the discount which is to our advantage. | bonnard
27/3/2013 09:39 | Aleman, Please would you post the link to the M and G page which shows the NAV? Their site is hopeless and a search on their website gets me nowhere. | bonnard
26/3/2013 07:37 | Thanks to you all for the responses. I am delighted that I have been able to obtain so much information from fellow posters. Pity the company's own information isn't up to much. | lord gnome
25/3/2013 23:44 | HUG is Hugin News Service. | aleman |
