You'll get it back when you're consistently good, rather than raising the game for a few weeks before returning to what you've been for the last twenty odd years. Average.

We are the leading scorers in the EPL 2016 snowy.

Have go at our defence by all means but slagging our attack is like peashooting a tank.

Talking of tanks, could Zlatan be outmanouvered by one?

Tough draw for us in the league cup but at home we should be ok. I just hope the derby atmosphere thing could get City out but watching a pedestrian United tonight, I doubt it.

On the bright side:

Liverpool are more creative than Barcelona, Real, City and Munich.

LFC Stats @LFCData

Liverpool have created 72 chances in the league so far this season - more than every other team in Europe. #LFC

I love it when you talk tactics jail!

The first job of the CF is to cut out the passing line from the FB to the CB. This forces the fullback to look forward. HE HAS NO CHOICE. So occasionally this might create a problem for the defence from a long ball but mostly, with players marked/defence in position, it results in a speculative pass that means Liverpool regain possession.

There isn't just one press. There are two main ones depending on whether the opposition has the ball under control or in the case of 'gegenpressing', following a turnover. In the first case, the pressing is organised and disciplned like a Mozart quartet. After a turnover the pressing is more like the Albert Ayler quintet, they all know what they're doing but not quite sure where it will go.

If you study Klopp's pressing game, you can see what he's trying to do in a variety of game situations. Stopping it though, is another matter.

One thing I noticed a coulple of teams have adopte to cmbat Liverpool's pressing game. Since the opposition players know we will be pressing, they move to the side and turn to move forward instead of back to their goal. With this move they tun into attack since all he Liverpools players are running forward to press.

ose Mourinho has now lost 3 games on the trot...be hilarious if this turns into another Chelsea scenario. He seems to have peaked now at the top level.

"The question is the Klopp style suits good pitches and early season . Can the players still be as fit after 30 games in their legs . Asking a hell of a lot with the pace of PL ."

Klopp was asked this question on Thursday at the press conference and gave a look like: "Give me strength"

Modern pitches, a deep squad and no Europe. Of course Liverpool can maintain their energy. Not only that but the better Liverpool's passing becomes, the less stress there is in the legs. Playing keep ball doesn't tire you. chasing round like a bunch of fools does.

OK Consistency is obviously an issue for every team. You don't win the league with out it. I'm sure that's one thing we can all agree on?

So what's the evidence for this Liverpool inconsistency? There appears to be two pieces of redundant evidence: last season (or previous seasons) and Burnley.

Last season is irrelevent. Everyone thought Chelsea would be challengers, even though they had a consistency disaster last season and have only really added a defensive midfielder. Liverpool on the other hand have several reasons for improvement and i'm going to list them:

1) Klopp has had time to get his ideas across.
2) The team has had a full pre-season under him to get the fitness levels right.
3) Lallana is twice the player he was last year.
4) Mane looks a great addition to the attack.
5) Sturridge is available.
6) Firmino has now settled and has gone from profligate luxury, to being a powerful and highly skilled mainstay.
7) Milner has been a revelation at left back.(Remember your comments zinco?)
8) Matip is class.
9) Wijnaldum is settling in nicely.
10) Ejaria was on the bench last night. This is the real £90m midfielder, a price I doubt Pogba will ever live up to.
11) Lovren is now the player we thought he was at Southampton.
12) Henderson is fit and proving a lot of people wrong.
13) Karius is now fit and will probably take over from Mignolet soon.
14) There is genuine depth to the squad. This is a pretty decent team that didn't start last night:

...........................Karius

Randall........Gomez................Klavan............Moreno

...........................Can

..............Ejaria................Grujic

Ojo........................Origi.......................Firmino

...and still, Sahko, Ings and Lucas can't get a game.

.....now then, Burnley. It was a freak, get over it.

Unfortunately you're right about that Jack. This Klopp side beats the big teams and loses the games you would expect to win. We'll see...If only pool had beaten Burnley and taken chances at spurs...

Your difficult games are the ones you are expected to win, by recent evidence. Like the halycon days of Brendan Rodgers, and your title winning attempt prior to that slip, I think by Gerrard, who gave it to Demba Ba, when you had no Europe, the ingredients are there for a challenge. To win the league though, you cannot afford any more slip ups a la Burnley.

I do believe though, that we are all playing for second place behind City, who already look a class apart.

Three of our four most difficult games out of the way: just City away to go. No european distractions and new players just settling.

I don't think a title challenge looks unreasonable for this Klopp led team?
