18th January 2011 - Invu releases new Invu Document Management v6.4.

Invu is delighted to announce the release of Invu Document Management v6.4. This follows input from both our customers and partners. As well as more functionality in the base product this release also introduces 3 new companion modules:

-- Invu Email Manager

This module is a direct response to customer feedback requesting more flexible and powerful automatic capture of business emails. Email is frequently a dangerously silo-ed information store, with important content scattered across the business, often stored only locally. Invu Email Manager is a powerful way to ensure that business email content stays locked into the organisation; it reclaims emails as business assets immediately available to the organisation. Invu Email Manager is based around flexible rules, script options and interaction with other systems.

Email volumes continue to rise year on year (Radacati Group, IDC and others) and so does the risk of losing key information in the email deluge. With Invu Email Manager and Invu Document Management any information is immediately available, secure and auditable. Feedback to date has been exceptionally encouraging, notably when previewed at IRISWORLD in October 2010.

-- Invu Web Approval

Invu Web Approval is a browser-based extension to Invu Workflow, enabling authorisers to interact with automated processes without requiring access to full Invu Document Management. Invu products are used increasingly in purchase to pay solutions where departmental use is heavy, e.g. in finance and purchase order processing departments. Invu Web Approval is delivered in keeping with repeated prospect demand. It enables stakeholders throughout the rest of an organisation to undertake sign-offs without disrupting their working methods nor the process in place in, say, the finance department. Invu Web Approval is the first product release built on a platform to enable more browser-based interaction with Invu's secure document repository.

-- Invu Interactive Zonal OCR/Barcode Capture

This is an alternative to Invu Capture (powered by Abbyy). It enables the capture, extraction and validation of low volumes of data from paper based documents. Suitable for ad-hoc use, the key to this module is its simplicity. It forms an important precursor to opening up greater automation of many previously manual processes.

Importantly for Invu version 5 customers, this module fulfils the last significant functional difference between version 5 and its successor, Invu Document Management.

Colin Gallick, Invu CEO, comments, "This product release is a significant one for Invu. The evolution of the product range is focused on the demands of our customers whilst supporting Invu's drive into the mid-market and larger deal sizes. In many cases these are one and the same thing in delivering purchase to pay solutions. Completing the final gaps with version 5 is also an important step giving loyal version 5 customers further reason to feel safe with Invu and to make a choice to move to Invu Document Management at their convenience."
