The Company announces with immediate effect, the board appointment of Manuel
Lamboley, aged 42, as a non-executive director and also that Smit Berry,
non-executive chairman, has stood down from the board.

Manuel has extensive knowledge of the investment banking industry and long
standing relationships with major investors and financial advisors worldwide.
During 20 years of experience with investment banking firms in the US and
Europe, Manuel was a director of UBS AG, head of the Geneva office of Williams
de Broe, as well as holding senior positions at Bank Julius Bar, Kidder
Peabody, Paine Webber International and Prudential-Bache Securities. Manuel is a
licensed stockbroker under US law and holds Swiss citizenship.



Manuel is currently a director of Ocean Productions Limited. He has had no other
directorships or partnerships within the previous five years. No further
information falls to be disclosed under Schedule Two, paragraph (g) of the AIM
Rules for Companies. Manuel does not hold any interests in ordinary shares in
the Company.



Paul Mc Groary, Chief Executive, commented:

"Manuel has joined the board with a remit to assist in broadening the number and
type of opportunities available to the company. He has extensive contacts in the
African continent where we have seen some interesting projects but currently
lack the necessary personal connections to consider these properly. We look
forward to working with him and believe his appointment will add value to
shareholders."



India Star continues to actively look to acquire energy related interests
including oil, gas, renewables and related metals.
