                                 Product Launch

         IDMoS confirms launch of dental product at key industry event

IDMoS plc (AIM: IDO) ('IDMoS' or the 'Group'), the specialists in disease
detection and monitoring technology, confirms that today it officially launches
its CarieScan (previously named Caries Detection Device) and CarieScan Plus
(previously named Caries Management Support System) products at this year's
British Dental Trade Association meeting at the NEC in Birmingham (18th - 20th
October). The Group is also pleased to confirm that it has received its first
product order.

CarieScan is a caries detection product developed by internationally recognised
dental and clinical diagnostics experts Professor Nigel Pitts and Dr Chris
Longbottom and is based on AC impedance spectroscopy. It facilitates earlier and
more accurate detection of tooth decay than currently possible with any other
commercially available system and aims to exploit a global shift towards
preventive management of dental decay.

Last month Denplan Limited ('Denplan') agreed to promote IDMoS's CarieScan
products to their network of 6,500 dental practices, representing over 70% of
the UK dental plan market.

Graham Lay, Chief Operating Officer of IDMoS plc, said:
