Disposal Hat Pin plc ("Hat Pin") Disposal of Akamai Financial Markets (UK) and Akamai Financial Markets (Dubai) Hat Pin, the international human resources group, today announces the sale of the business, assets and liabilities of Akamai Financial Markets (UK) Ltd for a cash consideration of £1 and the sale of the entire issued share capital of Akamai Financial Markets Executive Search (Dubai) Ltd for a cash consideration of £1. These businesses have both been sold to Hexagon Human Capital plc. In its unaudited accounts for the year ended 31 December 2007, Akamai Financial Markets (UK) Ltd reported an operating loss of £351,000 on a turnover of £4.3m. Losses within this business have continued in the current year. As at 31 December 2007, Akamai Financial Markets (UK) Ltd had net assets of £384,000. In its unaudited accounts for the year ended 31 December 2007, Akamai Financial Markets Executive Search (Dubai) Ltd reported an operating loss of £23,000 on a turnover of £25,000. Losses within this business have continued in the current year. As at 31 December 2007, Akamai Financial Markets Executive Search (Dubai) Ltd had net assets of £23,000. Hat Pin will recognise a charge of approximately £4.5m in its 2007 accounts in respect of the impairment of the carrying value of Akamai Financial Markets (UK) Ltd. Hat Pin will recognise a profit on disposal of Akamai Financial Markets Executive Search (Dubai) Ltd in its 2008 accounts of approximately £50,000. These items will have no impact on the Group's cash position.
