hope you guys got yourselves into HAWK, we just had 2 big rns's in quick succession, share price up 50% since the lows of 29/30p a couple of weeks back, just made more in 3 weeks than in 3 years with pxc/ffg!!! Of course...I need to sell to make the profit but the share price has much further to go. Currently sub 50p and a broker note with share price valuation in excess of 2 GBP, so still time to get in in spite of the recent rises. And the valuations are now based upon estimates of oil in place following testing using Petrel software which is designed by schlumberger, one of the biggest companies in the area of oil analysis and field service operations. dyor but you will be sorry if you miss it.

I'm out as of today, 135,963 was my sell, put the money into HAWK instead, medium term I think it has better prospects. End result on my PXC/FFG was about a 2K profit after about 3 years investment I think!! All of the cash returned now in HAWK, hoping for minimum 100% return this year if oil price stays steady and HAWK announce huge increase in proven reserves.

Not saying FFG not worth a punt, but the wimax licence doesn't look like it will be worth much as the govt try as many ways as possible to please the big mobile operators and provide additional bandwidth imo. So as per VOB above, the rollercoaster ride that might now be expected is one I prefer to be out of for the moment.

Good luck to all those still sailing the good ship Daisy!

Please can anyone help. what was the deal when pXC became this? Trying to find info to work out what I am in for. The FFG shares did have a value when the deal was done and we got our £££ for the PXC. TIA

psonice, the 80p was taken from the document that was published by FFG...this will be the opening price when the shares are re-launched after consolidation assuming all resolutions are approved at the EGM.

I suppose people are selling coz they have made a profit from buying pre-suspension, and those that are buying think that 80p will be a significant discount when it opens...imho

if you read the 'acquisition and placing' document you will discover that the loan notes will not be returned to current s/h's if the reverse takeover proceeds. If it fails, then they will review the strategy for distribution of cash.

Basically what they are saying is this:

"Look guys, we have a serious amount of wedge in the bank or due to arrive, there are loads of companies out there currently up sh*t creek with no paddles and holes in their canoes, so let's forget about doshing out the wedge to the scummy s/h's, let's do a few deals to maximise our shareholdings in all the companies by using the s/h's cash to leverage all the deals. If it fails, well so what, it wasn't our cash to start with, if it succeeds we get even richer :-))))

Oh yes, and Oakley is right in the middle of it all, selling assets back to FFG which it bought previously.

well this is more or less the limit, it aint going higher or lower until the shares are consolidated and the dealings in the new company begin. The wimax 800mhz release will also impact on the value of FFG's licence, and still no news on conversion to mobile, which personally I think will be rejected for the simple reason that this Govt. is a total fk up and need all the money they can get, and therefore they will probably auction the mobile part of the licence. Therefore in the short term I don't really see much point in staying in FFG.
Any views?

Ofcom Confirms Clearance of 800MHz Spectrum for Mobile Broadband
By: MarkJ - 30 June, 2009 (12:42 PM) - Views: 88 - Categories: Mobile Broadband

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ofcom has today confirmed plans to clear the 800MHz band (790-862MHz) of radio spectrum, which is currently being used for the old analogue television (TV) services. The move opens the way for next generation Mobile Broadband services to utilise the frequency, thus delivering faster and cheaper wireless Internet access over an even wider coverage.

This is all part of the regulators 'Digital Dividend', which has seen a re-organisation of various spectrum bands to be more in line with modern uses and demands. Much of this frequency has been freed because newer digital services take up less room in the airwaves than analogue, leaving space for other uses.

Ofcom Statement:

We believe that freeing-up the whole 800 MHz band for new uses will provide large benefits to citizens and consumers. These include lower equipment prices for consumers, more efficient use of spectrum, improved opportunities for new generations of Mobile Broadband and more scope for competition and innovation in new wireless services.

The net benefits to consumers could be worth at least £2.5-3 billion. There will also be some changes to the spectrum used by digital terrestrial television (DTT) services and wireless microphones. Ofcom has plans to ensure that this is done with the minimum disruption.

I emailed FFG but they wouldn't release any info, just said they are working as quickly as they can to conclude matters and will make an announcement in due course...understandable really

any ideas on expected timescale for news?? Do they have a time limit as I am sure they can't keep the shares suspended indefinately!!! If this is going to be a reverse takeover, so FFG will be the ones actually taking over another company and therefore I wouldn't expect there to be any immediate rerating, if any at all, as the best we could hope for is a company that fits with FFG and is maybe very undervalued for some reason??(or is it the other way around and another company will reverse into FFG?)
