Looks like the Galoc news caused this spike. Perhaps it will continue but Galoc is not the big news...

This was taken from the iii board, extract of an article published 26 August 2013,

The on-going drilling at the Galoc Phase 2 oil exploration and development project has hit a section of "very high-quality reservoir," field operator Otto Energy has emphasized in its update report.

As of last week, the company noted that it drilled a section of the G-6H well "to 3,958 meters through the Galoc reservoir interval."

The Australian firm added "the well intersected a 260m section of very high-quality reservoir which was at the high end of prognosed outcomes."

last time it went from 50p to 220p in days was when the directors agreed to sell some shares at a nice 200p...a massive premium to the price it was sat at a few weeks before.

well the news i have found is that china has put down concrete blocs in the region of dispute. (a leaf taken from Gibraltars book)
also connotations from the Philippines in closer ties with usa of a symbiotic nature is at hand. (of a strategic nature) nudge nudge wink wink say NO MORE!
so in gambling terms as most would understand on here they have picked up a ace card!, to make china think twice before going "argie bargie" on little countries.

We are minority s'holders at the mercy of the two big holders, the only reason we're tolerated is for our London listing IMO. It is unlikely that we will see the returns from SC72. Why would the big two let us, talk of a share price of multiple £'s is pie in the sky now with wellington gone

sideshow,

from memory the valuation was based upon the rise in value of PXP after the April'12 news and comparinf this to FEP.

Since PXP is currently less than it was pre-news, that might not be a good calculation to do !!!

Anyone manage to dig out the old calcs of what PXP value FEP at currently? Used to be about £25 per share at 30 PXP so must be around £8 now???

Holding on to mine. Bought at £1.01 and doubled my holdings at 49p and 53p. Long way to go yet, but can see these £3-£5 in a few years with 16TCF of gas ready to be ressurected.

Good Luck all,

A few have made some decent profit from the likes of ggp, solg, marl, etc, of late. May be some are trying to find a new home for their monies? Hope it is news though.

It's not easy to tell - just a few fellow-travellers jumping on the bandwagon could cause this. On the other hand there could be some game-changing news on the Sampaguita front - a deal with CNOOC for example. Who can say?

at over a 40% rise, I wonder if the Company have been asked if they know of a reason for it?

it's illiquidity doesn't help

buyers now coming back.

A few (no doubt from the TOP's thread) have taken their profits and can now retunr to their more natural sub-penny stocks.

question is what started the buying?

Hasn't our 'poison pill' in the form of strategic investor Wellington now departed the scene (to Atok) so leaving the minority holding prey to a relatively low ball take out?

Not visited FEP for a while but I think we'll be taken out before we're valued at anything significant. When we had the last price surge Wellingtion still had their blocking holding.
