    Akron, OH- December 1, 2008:  First Communications (AIM: FCOM), a leading Midwest competitive local exchange carrier and owner of
wireless telecommunications towers, will be presenting at the Houlihan Lokey Media & Telecom Conference in New York City on Thursday,
December 4th, 2008 at 10:00am ET. Joe Morris, CFO & COO, will provide an overview of the Company's current business strategy.

    On September 15, 2008, First Communications and Renaissance Acquisition Corp (Amex: RAK) signed a definitive merger agreement through
which First Communications intends to access the U.S. public markets. The combined company will seek a Nasdaq Global Markets listing upon
the closing, which is anticipated to close in the 2009 first quarter.
