                                New Appointments



Excel, the AIM listed UK charter airline servicing independent tour operators,
is pleased to announce the appointments of Peter Owen and Richard Gamble as
non-executive directors with immediate effect.



Peter Owen was appointed non-executive director of Cox Insurance Holdings in
January 2001 before being appointed as Chairman in April 2002. Between December
1999 and September 2002 Peter was Group Chief Executive of Corporate Services
Group, having previously held senior positions in the healthcare, insurance and
airline industries with PPP Healthcare and Guardian Royal Exchange and
Operations Director during his employment with British Airways from 1969 to
1990.



Richard Gamble is a Chartered Accountant and non executive Chairman of the
construction company, Denne Group.  Richard's previous appointments include
Group Chief Executive of Royal & Sun Alliance and Deputy Chief Financial Officer
at British Airways where he was heavily involved in the privatisation and
regeneration of the company between 1984 and 1989.
