Nanoco presents at Samsung QLED & HDR10 Summit

On 27-28 June 2017, Samsung Electronics and Insight Media co-hosted the QLED & HDR10 Summit in Los Angeles, California, where they shared company and industry updates concerning the benefits of QLED displays and the latest advancements in HDR10/HDR10+ for wide colour gamut (WCG) displays.

More than 100 industry experts and influencers attended the summit, which included a presentation from Nanoco's Dr. James Harris, discussing the important role cadmium-free quantum dot technology is playing in the global display industry.

Dr Harris' presentation, "Quantum dot colour filters for photoemissive displays," took attendees through the ongoing evolution of quantum dot technology and advancements Nanoco is driving in display technology from current use of film technology to QD colour filters and, further out, to electroluminescent quantum dot displays.

The presentation also highlighted that quantum dots are a true platform technology, able to extend use beyond display into diverse applications such as bio-medicine, lighting and horticulture.
