Director's Shareholding

Energy XXI notifies that the Company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, John D. Schiller, Jr., has elected to purchase up to US $21,250 of shares of the Company's common stock (the "Shares") under the Energy XXI Services, LLC Employee Stock Purchase Plan (the "Plan"). The Plan covers the period 1 January 2014 through 30 June 2014 and allows employees to purchase Shares at a 15 percent discount from the lower of the common stock closing price on the first or last day of the period.

Mr. Schiller has also elected to purchase Shares under the Company's 401(k) Plan during 2014. Based on Mr. Schiller's annual contribution limit of US $23,000, Mr. Schiller may purchase up to a total of US $23,000 of Shares based on the stock price when the payroll deductions are made.
