Directors Interests

Energy XXI announces that the Company has issued a total of 30,126 shares of US$0.005 common stock ("Shares") to its independent Board of Directors on 6 November 2012, pursuant to its independent director remuneration scheme, for the stock portion of their annual retainer which vests on the 2013 Annual General Meeting date, (each with less than 1% ownership) as set out below:

The Company has made application for the 30,126 Directors shares to be admitted to trading on AIM, which is expected on 14 November 2012.
