   The Board of Downing Structured Opportunities VCT 1 plc announces the 
declaration of a dividend of 40p per Ordinary Share to be paid on 20 
March 2015 to Ordinary Shareholders on the register at 27 February 2015. 
 
   Based on the latest published results, the remaining net asset value 
("NAV") after this dividend will be 53.5p per C Share. Assuming that the 
Company exits from the remaining investments at close to book value, it 
is estimated that a performance fee to the management team will become 
payable, equivalent to 7p per Ordinary Share.  After providing for this, 
the unaudited net total return (NAV plus dividends paid) for a combined 
holding of one Ordinary Share and one A Share is estimated to be 126.6p.
