Professor Patrick Prendergast elected as Provost of Trinity College Dublin

ClearStream is pleased to announce that Professor Patrick Prendergast, a non-Executive director of the Company, has been recently elected Provost of Trinity College Dublin (TCD), one of the most prestigious and influential positions across all of the Universities of Ireland.

Professor Prendergast (44) is Professor of Bio-engineering at TCD. He obtained a BAI in 1987 and a PhD in 1991 both from the University of Dublin. Before joining the staff at Trinity College, Dublin, Professor Prendergast held post-doctoral positions at the Istituti Ortopedici Rizzoli, Bologna, Italy, and the University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands. In November 2009, he was conferred with the degree of Sc.D.

A Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland, Professor Prendergast is an award winning researcher and has published 127 papers in peer-reviewed journals and 19 peer-reviewed book chapters. He has also contributed to several well-known reference texts in biomedical engineering.

Commenting on the appointment, Andrew Jones, CEO of ClearStream said: "I am delighted that Professor Prendergast has been elected to the prestigious role of Provost of TCD and that he has confirmed his desire to remain on ClearStream's Board.
