RNS Number:9758O CityBlock PLC 18 July 2005 18 July 2005 CITYBLOCK PLC ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF TWO DEVELOPMENT SITES IN HUDDERSFIELD AND MANCHESTER CityBlock plc ("CityBlock"), the AIM-quoted developer and operator of innovative, up-market, secure, off-campus student accommodation, today announces the acquisition of two sites - one in Huddersfield and one in Manchester - for a total consideration of #3 million. The payment will be funded by debt provided to the company by Yorkshire Bank. The sites are in prime student-orientated locations in the areas. Both sites are historic buildings and CityBlock and their contractors will undertake significant sympathetic refurbishment work (subject to planning), enabling the sites to host an expected 200 rooms.
