RNS Number:8259M Chloride Group PLC 30 January 2008 30 January 2008 CHLORIDE GROUP PLC INTERIM MANAGEMENT STATEMENT FOR THE THREE MONTHS ENDING 31 DECEMBER 2007 The Board of Chloride Group PLC ("Chloride" or the "Company") is pleased to provide the following interim management statement covering trading for the third quarter of the year. The positive trends which enabled the Company to deliver increases of 31% in sales, 43% in operating profit and 39% in earnings per share for the first half of the financial year have continued through the third quarter. The product order book again increased, and the operating margin has continued to strengthen against the prior year. Accordingly the full year results are expected to be slightly ahead of management's previous expectations. Organic sales growth was ahead of industry forecasts, indicating that we gained market share in our main geographic markets. In Europe we continued to make good progress, both organically and from the recent acquisitions of Cener, Spain, Masterpower Electronics, UK and ASTE, France. We were proud to receive, in December 2007, the Frost and Sullivan European UPS Company of the Year 2007 Award for exceptional growth in all aspects of our European business. In the Middle East performance has been strong in the energy and oil and gas sectors. In Asia Pacific we continued to expand rapidly, particularly through our partnership with DB Power Electronics in India and our acquisition of Ascor Power Systems in Singapore. Commenting, Chief Executive Keith Hodgkinson said: "We continue to invest throughout the business in expanding our solutions infrastructure and geographic reach in line with our strategy for growth. Orders remain strong and visibility of further opportunities in the fourth quarter give us confidence in the positive outlook for this financial year and the year ahead."
