               Chapelthorpe plc ('Chapelthorpe' or the 'Company') 
 
                             New Board Appointments 
 
Chapelthorpe plc, a leading manufacturer of polypropylene fibre supplied to 
markets world-wide, announces that Jan Holmstrom and Tom Russell have been 
appointed as non-executive directors of the Company with immediate effect.  In 
addition, Brian Leckie has retired as a non-executive director of the Company, 
also with immediate effect. 
 
Jan Holmstrom (57) has spent his career in reinsurance and operational 
management in Stockholm, London and Hong Kong.  He is currently the Managing 
Director of Browallia AB and a director of Browallia Holdings Limited, both part 
of Bronsstadet Group which is the property and investment group controlled by 
Peter Gyllenhammar who also owns a 29.6% interest in Chapelthorpe. 
 
Jan is also Chairman of Densitron Technologies plc and a non-executive director 
of Dawson International plc, Hartest Holdings plc, Pittards plc, Bilderton 
Limited, The Union Discount Company of London Limited and Johnson & Starley 
Limited.  In the past five years Jan has also been a director of Darby Group 
Limited and Darby Glass Limited. 
 
Tom Russell (33) is a partner of Hanover Investors Management LLP.  Funds 
managed by Hanover own a 25.3% interest in Chapelthorpe.  Prior to joining 
Hanover Tom was a partner at Mercer Oliver Wyman, the strategy consulting firm 
where he led major turnaround, strategy and finance engagements for a range of 
clients.  Tom is also a director of Salamander Inns Limited. 
 
Save as set out above, there are no other matters to be disclosed under Rule 17 
or Paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM rules.

Chapelthorpe said:
