Appointment of Group Chief Executive Officer
After a rapid and extensive process, Brammer is pleased to announce that Meinie Oldersma will join the Board as Group Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1(st) August 2016.
A Dutch national, Mr Oldersma is based in the UK and is currently a non-executive director of Bunzl plc, which he will stand down from on August 22(nd) . He is also non-executive Chairman of Kondor Ltd, a private equity owned global channel partner and distributor of consumer electronic accessories into the high street, and a non-executive director of Smallsteps BV.
Previous executive positions have included being Chief Executive of 20:20 Mobile Group (2008-2014) and a variety of senior positions with Ingram Micro (1999-2008), latterly as Chief Executive and President of their China Group and Managing Director of their business in Northern Europe.
Commenting on the appointment, Bill Whiteley, Chairman of Brammer plc said:

With Meinie's strong background and under his leadership as Group Chief Executive, I am confident that the Group will evolve at pace and grow in the years ahead."
Meinie Oldersma commented:

Brammer, whilst facing a number of short term challenges, has developed an excellent pan-European industrial products distribution platform and market position and has tremendous potential for further growth. There are a number of important ongoing initiatives in place to restore the Group's performance and, I look forward to working with the team at Brammer to help deliver them. My immediate task is to ensure I am rapidly immersed in the business and, having done that, I look forward to reporting on my findings in the fourth quarter."
Ian Fraser said, "I am delighted that Meinie is taking over at Brammer. He has the perfect background, experience and personal qualities to lead Brammer in the years to come." Following a handover period, Mr Fraser will step down and leave Brammer. A further announcement will be made at that time.
