BARCELONE (Agefi-Dow Jones)--Le groupe pétrolier et gazier britannique BP (BP.LN) a annoncé mardi qu'il prévoyait d'enregistrer une charge non opérationnelle après impôt de 1,7 milliard de dollars dans ses comptes du quatrième trimestre 2017, en lien avec le programme d'indemnisation mis en place après l'explosion de sa plate-forme Deepwater Horizon.
BP a indiqué que ce programme, encadré par la justice, touchait désormais à sa fin.
En 2018, les indemnisations prévues devraient s'élever aux alentours de 3 milliards de dollars, a souligné le géant pétrolier, un chiffre à comparer au montant des versements supérieur à 2 milliards de dollars estimé pour le troisième trimestre.
Cette charge est complètement gérable dans le contexte financier actuel de BP, a précisé le groupe.
