23/6/2001 20:54 | Still sounds like a fake order to me. BSN Ibera is a joint company owned by BSN and Germinus. Why would Germinus have to buy a copy of the software as they are going to sell it built into their own systems. The purchase of the software would occur after they have built it in (not yet) and they had a customer for the combined system. After all the new company is only a distributor of the software and has no use for itself. | haystack
23/6/2001 19:47 | Smartlogik Iberia Launched with $500,000 Order from Germinus LONDON June 21, 2001 Smartlogik, a leader in customized information discovery solutions and core business of Bright Station plc (LSE: BSN) (NASDAQ: BSTN), today announces a $500,000 order from Germinus, a leading Spanish provider of business solutions for the telecommunications, electronics and media sectors, and the formation of Smartlogik Iberia. | dcrose
22/6/2001 23:38 | I have my doubts as to whether the $500,000 sale was really a sale at all. The company they sold to has set up a joint venture with BSN. Germinus will have 80% of the company and BSN will have 20%. This looks like selling to a company that BSN owns parts of. It all looks like window dressing and not real announcements. Encourage the price up while the share offer is under way. Its old news anyway. It was on Germinus's web site on 16 th June. | haystack

22/6/2001 11:08 | perhaps we should all be quiet for the next few days until we can get a good allocation of 5p shares and then discuss the merits of SL. why did RL buy now at 6p could he not have bought as many as possible at 5p if nobody wants them? I think he is expecting an over demand and therefore a scaling back of the "5p" shares. | lgw

21/6/2001 17:37 | A new company has been set up called Smartlogic Iberia with 80% ownership by Germinus and 20% by Smartlogic. "SmartLogik Iberia nace gracias a la alianza estratégica a largo plazo alcanzada por ambas compañías y a su compromiso pleno en el proyecto. De esta forma, las dos empresas se unen para lanzar SmartLogik Iberia, con una participación del 80% por parte del Grupo Germinus y un 20% de SmartLogik." The Smartlogic software has been sold to a company jointly owned by Smartlogic and Germinus. It is tempting to ask if this is a real sale or more window dressing. Smartlogic have 'sold', if that is the right word, to a company that they partly own. Funny how the RNS news item omits the details of Smartlogic Ibera ownership. By the way this news has been around since 16th June on Germinus's web site | haystack |
