Total Voting Rights

In conformity with the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, Benfield Group
Limited (the "Company") notifies the market of the following:

As at 1 March 2007, there has been no change in the Company's issued share
capital and/or voting rights since the Company's previous announcement on 1
February 2007.

Accordingly, the issued share capital and voting rights of the Company remain as
follows:
