Posted at 27/4/2011 09:48 by liarspoker Yep, still a bit over my target buy price. Just a pity it took a delisting to drop it down so far. |
Posted at 26/2/2010 18:16 by masurenguy RNS Number : 7174H Baqus Group PLC 26 February 2010 Group's results for the year ending 30 June 2010 are now expected to be below current market expectation. This is in part due to deferred or cancelled projects in the public sector & private sector schemes held up by the reluctance of funders to commit. Ooops - hardly a surprise in this sector ! Looked at this last autumn but figured they were too illiquid and over valued at around 6p. Price has halved since then but still no compelling valuation here. |
Posted at 07/1/2010 10:20 by tonester30ccfc Let's see where it goes when the government max'es out its credit card and realises that there is no more money available to invest in the public sector. With a fragile private sector not prepared to spend, trading conditions are likely to get even tougher in the construction industry 2H2010. Where will that leave BQS??? |
Posted at 18/12/2009 07:53 by madmadscorpioman We shall see, for me companies making a profit and paying a dividend are where i want to be long term, will add more if the price stays low |
Posted at 17/12/2009 09:59 by tonester30ccfc The "God of Quantity Surveyors"?????Where do the likes of Davis Langdon, EC Harris, Gardiner & Theobold, Cyril Sweett, Gleeds, Capita Symonds etc etc etc sit then??? Long road to travel if this outfit is to win market share, particularly in this environment |
Posted at 25/8/2009 22:12 by 59david Must be the illiquidity which drove price up so much today with relatively little trading |
Posted at 24/8/2009 19:06 by glasshalfull Hi Mas / Steg,25% rise is (probably) due to this article produced today. Screen Value Under The Microscope Highlighted shares are Vislink, RCG and Baqus. Baqus Baqus will be much too small for many investors' tastes. The quantity surveying group is certainly a lot smaller than it was. It came to market in December 2007 at 10p a share and went over 12p immediately but it's been downhill more or less all the way since to 3.5p now, which values the company at under £4m. Of course, quantity surveying wouldn't be your first choice of business in a property downturn, but this AIM tiddler still managed to make a pre-tax profit of £0.4m to the half year, had cash of £1.6m, and was "cautiously optimistic". Overall net asset value, meanwhile, was a relatively huge £10.8m though almost 80% of this is goodwill. Nevertheless, Baqus was feeling confident enough to make a recent acquisition which will add to earnings. It looks like the company is on a P/E of something like seven excluding the acquisition, which falls to around 4.5 against enterprise value taking out the cash. And if we're in for a gradual recovery in property and construction, Baqus will benefit further. Regards, GHF |
Posted at 09/4/2008 12:51 by jonwig Had a chance to buy these at IPO for 8p (20% EIS relief on issue price), but passed it by.Time to have another look, now that offer is around 8p? Ste, can you slip this link into the header, please? BAQUS = BACCHUS ... nice thought. I read the name more as "BACK US (please ...)" |
