Posted at 08/12/2016 13:13 by stevie blunder The default waiver on the debt runs out on 14th Dec, so expect news on the 13th!I've just been looking at the October presentation on the website, they say that MNG is in talks with the lenders about giving them a corporate guarantee in exchange for a relaxation of covenants and "re-sculpting" debt payments. Hope that goes well. One of the charts says that 2017 cash costs are projected at just over $600/oz before rising in future years. Interesting that of the funds raised $5.0M was for the continuation of exploration, ie they want another mine. I've had a few more on the basis that the Turks seem a canny bunch and don't want to lose their large investment. |

Posted at 24/10/2016 14:40 by jbravo2 Re: post 6847 March 2016Hi laptop, I would say I hope you took my advice but having done a search I see you bought in here. In March this year AUE and AAZ were both about 6-7p. Let me just say it's not too late, I've read the exchanges that followed and can see one poster who has certainly joined the party at AAZ. AAZ is heading to 34p in short order and will be over 80p in 2 years time. Change course, come on over! |
Posted at 14/10/2016 14:12 by deltrotter Hi ParthusI am dreadfully sorry you feel that way. Gee, AUE and AFF have been an emotional rollercoaster, and in your case a financial disaster as well. I certainly take ABSOLUTELY no pleasure from you being burned so badly. Ok, I did well (but not massively well) from AFF in the last two months when I knew all was going ahead, but I certainly wish others had as well. Getting out of Aureus was a stroke a luck on my part, I wish I could say it was investing skill. Anyway, no matter your opinion of me, I do wish you well. Cheers Del |
Posted at 13/10/2016 16:49 by ukgeorge no doubtful, imobanks don't generally want to own mines..... I don't know why, they are so easy to operate, as AUE has proved |

Posted at 03/10/2016 12:33 by bikwik Also in my analysis of the posts made on the day of important lows and the high, you were present on each of those days. In each case your posts came across as being bearish on the lows and while you did not post a comment related to AUE on the day of the high (7th March) you did post a bullish one on gold (gold around $1270). The peak for gold after the big multi-month run up came just 4 days later before declining to $1206 in the following two weeks. So, you seem to be quite a reliable contrary indicator. I hope you continue to be just as reliable. Sorry for pointing this out, and you were not the only one! |
Posted at 03/10/2016 11:35 by beeezzz bikwik...are you on the right thread, this is AUE, the management have proved time and again they are incompetent at building & commissioning a mine of any description...I think like most investors here you will be disappointed. However, I do hope that is not the case. |

Posted at 08/8/2016 12:29 by htrocka2 I'm sure that MNG went over AUE with a fine tooth comb prior to investing. Had it been previously successfully managed I doubt they would be there now. They saw flaws in an operation that was haemorrhaging cash that had synergies with their own better run companies and took advantage of AUE's demise. From where I'm standing, it was nothing less than a take over by the back door...no doubt with the intention of turning this ramshackled company into a professionally run enterprise. |
