The Company has conditionally raised approximately US$72 million through the issue of 3,900,000,000 new common shares of the Company ("Shares") at the Placing Price, to be comprised of 3,250,000,000 Shares issued to MNG Gold at the Placing Price pursuant to the Subscription and 650,000,000 Shares issued to institutional investors at the Placing Price pursuant to the Principal Placing. Following the Fundraise the Company will have 5,104,039,001 Shares in issue. Under the terms of the Broker Option, the Company may also issue up to a further 540,000,000 Shares.

Let's assume the additional 540m shares will be issued.
That's a huge dilution from 1.2 billion to 5.1billion in the first instance!!!
MNG will be increasing their holding to around 75%

The proposals suggest profit of £10m per annum might be possible... anybody recall what the Mine's productive life is ?
Any existing (PI) holders only have 2 choices really.... 'fold' now or 'go again'.

Anybody think MNG might take this private following all of this activity ?

Serhan Umurhan, Chief Executive Officer of Aureus, said:
“The fund raise provides the key to unlock the significant value from Aureus’s high grade assets. We have been very encouraged by the significant support from a broad range of investors, as well as by the significant progress MNG Gold has made in turning around the New Liberty mine since taking control only as recently as 15th July this year. MNG Gold remains firmly committed to continuing the transformation of these assets into a long term, sustainable business to the benefit of all stakeholders, and to establishing Avesoro Resources Inc. as a platform for further growth.”

So looks like they are going to change the name ....

bikwik...are you on the right thread, this is AUE, the management have proved time and again they are incompetent at building & commissioning a mine of any description...I think like most investors here you will be disappointed. However, I do hope that is not the case.

ref: Dogwalker.

'However, mining operations continue to be hampered by low equipment availability, with a consequential adverse effect on unit mining cost. The Company is currently undertaking a review of the options to remedy the situation.

Management is also undertaking a full supply chain review to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements'

It looks like an over haul of the complete operation. The down time, due to various issues, have been loaded against unit costs. I'm sure this will now be top of the agenda for the new boys. Reading did his best, he was head of Randgold's exploration unit and tried his hand at production...unsuccessfully as it turned out. If memory serves correctly, he kept running out of explosives, that's just a small insight into his planning prowess. The Mines production target was 27,0000zs...it got no where near that. The next six months should be a different story. With an obvious bias as an investor, I'd like to think that the best is yet to come.

This will fly once the positive news starts flowing ...... There is no way that these Turkish investors would have put $30m in to this to flush it down the toilet, they are expecting at least 10x that back for their investment, I've met loads of Turkish businessmen and I can assure you they will make this work.

Hang on tight and enjoy the ride ...... Not long now."

AIM companies make me sick....there main aim seems to be a transfer of investors money into their bank accounts. Pay awards for directors is totally out of sync with performance, and until they make a profit should be restricted to a basic salary with bonus when they start paying a dividend.

AIM is not fit for purpose and needs totally restructuring, otherwise it will fail in its present form.

Mining companies don't do anything until the situation is well and truly catastrophic . Anyone remember bhp dam blast 6 months ago . So if you think this leak was a minor issue and expect private investors to add more to their existing losses, u must be on pot. No pun intended

Here is what happened that caused the share price to crash from 13 cents area down to 5 cents as shareholders sell in panic. The discharge of toxic effluent into the river is not an accident but a deliberate criminate act. While I am bullish on the company's potential, I am cautious about what action the government will take and what the banks will decide on granting the company an loan re-schedule. Investors should not over invest and put all their life savings into it, they should invest what they can afford to lose. Share price will unlikely continue to rise until good news that the problem has been resolved, those who bought at lower prices should take profit and maintain "wait and see" attitude. In the worse case, the Liberia government may not allow production re-start for many months because it is deliberate criminal act, and as the company default in loan payment without granting loan re-schedule, the company could be forced into bankruptcy with its assets sold. ~~~hxxp://www.frontpageafricaonline.com/index.php/news/519-liberia-s-first-commercial-gold-miner-slapped-with-us-10k-fine
