|the vogon: There are warrants which vest at 1p. The directors take very little in pay and the 'remuneration' via warrants aligns them with the shareholders.
"As part of the Placing, the Company has conditionally agreed to grant warrants to subscribe for 52,500,000 New Ordinary Shares to JIM Nominees Limited on behalf of Andrew Frangos, Stefan Olivier and Cornhill Capital. The Warrants shall vest upon the Company's closing share price trading at £0.02 per share for 30 consecutive trading days and are exercisable at the Placing Price at any time until the earlier of (i) five years from the closing of the Placing and (ii) three years from the vesting date. If exercised immediately following the Placing, JIM Nominees Limited would be entitled to 52,500,000 New Ordinary Shares equating to 28 per cent. of the Enlarged Share Capital of the Company."|

I can tell you that the CEO went last week to Mexico and will be going again shortly. As I've said he has excellent contacts within the government and that in turn gives early access to the prime licences. The share price has to stay at 2p or over for 30 days which takes credible delivery so it's a very bold statement as neither CEO or chairman draw a salary of more than 1k PER YEAR The story I think will unfold in the uk press, 'aim newcomer making strides in Mexico ahead of its peers' We shall see mate|
|ntv: Hello I am fairly new to this an seeing the share price it cannot get much worse unless taken over so I have bought a few today and will wait patiently until things resolve.Hopefully for the best, I feel something good will come out of this.|

Watch out for the same shareholders in NAP popping up here as shareholders in a news release soon. This will validate the new directors know what they are doing. Nobody knows including them what the potential is in Mexico but once they have found a target the fun begins. They have the Zinc and the MAGP projects in NAP which look compelling on a 12-18 months timeframe. However; they may well need to raise a couple of Millions from shareholders when they find a target. The attraction is options do not kick in until the share price is 100% higher than today.|
|acta_topup: Nice post on iii sums up my thoughts on this company:
9:38 17/03/2014 Interesting
Share price is up 22% in first hour of trading, hard to know what to make of that, but it's hard to believe Cornhill would invest over £1 million in Astar, a company with no assets, if they never had a plan.
Like always in the city, it only takes one good deal, and you have plenty who would like to get on board, add to that a rising share price, and the consolidation looks even better,
At present Astar has just under 300 million shares in circulation, which will drop to 30 million after the consolidation, but then you have to add on Cornhills shares, which could be around another 60 - 70 million,
Maybe it's just the fact that Astar has Cornhill on board, that gives this share a certain credibility, and future backing if and when needed.

|joe8472: Someone said earlier that the issued shares to raise £1m is not at a great discount to todays price, but it is in a way.
The current 296m shares in issue are to be consolidated into 1 new share for every 10 shares held to make a share price of 1p
After that the fund raising shares of 105m are issued at 0.01p, since they are not been consolidated they are getting shares at a discount.|
