The trouble is, we've no way of evaluating this stock, as we don't know projected sales, margins, R&D costs, etc.
I suspect the original share price and MCap were a bit rich, and will wait for developments on the busines front before looking again at this.

57-57p

Wins obviously want it higher but Code must have done the 150k seller
so it's a case when they have sold enough at 57p they will move up,
they sold a bit of that 150k yesterday before it showed and i would
imagine that all of the trades at this level quote are buys so not that
much more needed to match the 150k sold.

Dangerous but could make a good profit if they clear that surplus stock.

Hi Kamitora - Interesting to see you here - I notice you are also the initiator of the SOLA thread - which I recently made a nice bit of money on - I sold out yesterday - perhaps I should put my SOLA winnings in here? or back into SOLA? What do you think?

Good news, but am holding back for now! Sentiment could play a major part in which way this goes over the next few days! A few more panic sells trying to get as much money back as possible 'just in case' could send this one lower before it retraces back up again?

TUESDAY, 22 August 2006 - The Board of Arthro Kinetics plc (AIM: AKI), the
pioneer orthopaedics company dedicated to regenerating joint mobility and spinal
disc function, notes the recent movement in the shares and confirms that it is
not aware of any reason for the fall in the price.

Thought we would have got an RNS this morning

If someone sold 150K at 30p I would not put too much on any bounce, if it happens, holding.

With a marker set like that, there could be bigger falls to come.

Thanks for that Jonnyboy2 ... very informative! Am keeping an eye on this one for a bounce play, but think it might have further to fall first? (Now watch as it shoots up first thing tomorrow!)

Don't know much about this company but discovered an interesting interview with the CEO, it's a bit long winded but gives some insight regarding the history and prospects

It's easy to say after a drop like this, but it seems hard to see how it justified 100p+ a share. That said, will keep an eye on it as a bounce play.

Well, there's part of the answer - 150K at 30 - someone desperately wanted out.

Must be some very large sells in the background. Presumably some news out there. The company will have to make a statement one way or the other.

I wonder if any pre-IPO lock-ins have expired? Or is it a profit warning/device failure?

27,600,481 shares in issue, to be precise ...

The quote is jittering all over the place - surely some large trades to report.

LOL. Market cap is completely wrong on ADVFN. There are over 27m shares in issue. DYOR

Would be interesting to know what's going on here today: sudden drop first thing - maybe large sell to be reported soon?
A bit of nibbly buying though.

Whatever - a 50% drop needs an RNS.

Not a big purchase, but shows confidence.

On 25th May 2006, Mr. Robert Guilleaume, Director and CEO of the Company,
purchased 4,000 ordinary shares of Arthro Kinetics plc ('Arthro Kinetics' or the
'Company') at 112 pence per share, representing 0.014% of the issued ordinary
shares, taking his shareholding in the Company to 1.94% of the issued ordinary
shares.

Hi, L-L:

BYOT is one of mine, and HDD I sold a while ago, probably a mistake.

The two I meant were IDO and SCT. (Threads here for both, but definitely high risk ...)

Jonwig - a couple of blue-sky issues? - please tell

I'm currently sensing some amazing potential with: servocell, byotrol, ARC international (ARK) and I'm quite liking microfuze, hardide, ludorum, optos, sarantel (hmm). OXB and elektron interesting too.

Which one will be a winner? Im sure I'll be wrong about most.

Oh I shouldn't forget PDX (they owe me a lot of money but im still in love - hope they don't break my heart)

Hello, L-L:

I suggest you treat 'spinnin' as I did.

Regarding an entry point, if the market stays glum, there's no rush, even after good news.
And if there's bad news, it won't matter - the share price will tank anyway.

I have a couple of these 'blue sky' new issues at the moment, and my approach is that, if I believe the story enough, I can sit out some volatility until the news story changes.
With this one, though, I haven't made up my mind yet. Will let you know if I buy some; my first move is usually to buy a few (say about £1,000) and add if there's progress.

Spinnin:

Unfortunately the thread title can't be changed, nor can the thread be deleted. More unfortunately, the cause of your twisted bitterness is probably deep rooted and equallly unchangeable. I heard a good humoured and kind man with joint replacements describe himself as 'Frankenstein' - so it seems you may be on your own with your views. Then again, from the sound of you, you are probably used to that.

Jonwig:

I think Im inclined to agree with IC - approaching 5 million I think this is becoming very attractive. Im going to carry on waiting however - either for solid buying or solid news, before having a first punt. It could be some time before they move from 'experimental' to 'standard', if ever.
